Now Stefan if you would have read the small lettering in my post I admit that I had not done my trucks. And disappearing into the black hole is not same as lost I know exactly in the general location where the trucks are, I just cannot lay my hands on them at the moment.

But 14+ trucks done and at the club, just need those 10 more US trucks.

But we start on the campaign on the 27th

One more thought, I have posted info on the campaign on Powerfist, but I think we will do a write up of the battle, sooooo, I want each player to write a brief account of each days fighting which will be posted along with photos etc. both hear on a number of other sites.

Superior Supremo commander of all forces on the table Keyser, formally of Fortress Keyser!!!

Need some help and I think Jens Glad will know this one. Below is the ob for the Guards armoured division at market garden. The question that Stefan has should the infantry of the irish guards be truck mounted or half track? Was there only one battleion in Half tracks, what i found in a quick google search was that they had three half track mounted battlions and one Truck. But which? Or is this OB correct?

William

5th Guard Armour Brigade
on Sept 17-variable HQ (command stand)
2nd batt, Irish Guards (3 Sherman stands)
3rd batt, Irish Guards (3 mtr infantry sts)
1 st batt, Grenadier Guards (4 half track. infantry stands)
2nd batt, Grenadier Guards ( 3 Sherman stands)
2nd Household Cavalry (3 armoured car stands)

32nd Guard Armour Brigade
on Sept 17-variable HQ (command stand)
1st batt, Coldstream Guards (3 Sherman stands)
5th batt, Coldstream Guards (3 mtr infantry stands)
1st batt, Welsh Guards (3 mtr infantry stands)
2nd batt, Welsh Guards ( 3 armoured car stands)

This is another ob I found on a fourm.

Gds Armoured Div
* 2nd Battalion, Welsh Guards (Recce, in Shermans)

* 5th Guards Armoured Brigade
* * 2nd Battalion, Grenadier Guards (Shermans)
* * 1st Battalion, Coldstream Guards (Shermans)
* * 2nd Battalion, Irish Guards (Shermans)
* * 1st Battalion, Grenadier Guards (Mech Inf)

* 32nd Guards Brigade
* * 5th Battalion, Coldstream Guards (Inf)
* * 3rd Battalion, Irish Guards (Inf)
* * 1st Battalion, Welsh Guards (Inf)

The first OBB is the right one. After the r&r from the normandy campaign, the different regiments where brigaded in a hole new and different way. I guess they took to learning from the germans :lol: ;-). "Battlegroups" were formed, giving both armour and infantry mutual support. Thus the regiments where not only under brigade command but also under "battlegroup-command". Most notorious in this campaign is perhaps J.O.E Vandeleur, commander of the the Irish guards group (himself being officially in command og the 3rd Irsis guards anf his brother commanding the other element.
Thus, the second obb is from the normandy-campaign and complely useless for this campaign ;-)
In my oppinion the allied "garden" force would look like this:

Italized is assets
Guards armoured division
1st Independent Machine Gun Company (Royal Northumberland Fusiliers)(XX stands - 1 to each infantry battalion)
310th Armoured Brigade Company, Royal Army Service Corps
224th Infantry Brigade Company, Royal Army Service Corps
535th Infantry Brigade Company, Royal Army Service Corps

Household cavalry (3 armoured cars) independant
[i]14th Field Squadron, RE
615th Field Squadron, RE
11th Bridging Troop, RE
148th Field Park Squadron, RE

55th Field Regiment, RA 3 btys SP 25pdrs (sextons)
153th Field Regiment, RA 3 btys 25 pdrs towed
21st Anti-Tank Regiment, RA (3 btys - 1x Achilles (17pdrs), 1x M-10 (3"), 1x towed 17pdrs)
94th Light AA Regiment, RA

5th Guard Armour Brigade

Irish guards group
2nd batt, Irish Guards (3 Sherman stands)
3rd batt, Irish Guards (3 mtr infantry sts)

Grenadier guards group
1st batt, Grenadier Guards (4 half track. infantry stands)
2nd batt, Grenadier Guards ( 3 Sherman stands)

32nd Guards Brigade

Coldstream guards group
1st batt, Coldstream Guards (3 Sherman stands)
5th batt, Coldstream Guards (3 mtr infantry stands)

Welsh guards group
2nd Armoured Reconnaissance Battalion, Welsh Guards (3 Cromwell stands)
1st batt, Welsh Guards (3 infantry stands in trucks)

More will come tommorow (I know you also have lots of other info William ;-) )

Damn. I have gone home from the frontline (work) early as I'm getting sicker by the minute :oops: :oops: :oops:
So...I'm not comming to the "party" either. I am quite sure that general Adair (cmd Guards armoured division) wiĺ be able to function as cmd XXX corps.

Kind regards
General Horrocks
