Danish Miniature Wargaming Society

Here we have a pure dogfight, Spits agains Emils. Random entry of the 3 vics of Spits and 4 rottes of Emils.

Each side has an ace the Germans are flying with Galand and the brits with Sailor Malin.

We will start as soon as we have enough people to get things going. The reason is I want to get another scenario going right after. Hopefully we can then play another 2 Scenarios on the 31st and then get in three or four on Thursday the 1st. We probably will not get to all the scenarios but we will hopefully have played 10 to 11 of the 18 Scenarios in the book

And I am even sicker of painting german camoflage than I was last week, but almost done with all 114 planes, looks like I might be short the Italians, but will get to them latter the War of the Roses is calling.

Small change only one scenario this afternoon. The fact that the decals take soooooo long to put on is still catching me off guard. Last night i worked on the planes from 8pm to 11pm. I painted the canopies on 3 spits and 3 emils, and put decals on 6 spits and three 109s. So what it boils down to is 20min per plane I have the Ju 88s painted but have not put on the decals, did a couple this morning but not enough for the scenario.

So it will just be a dogfight in the skys over England.

Intresting furball of a dog fight last night. The Germans picked up 12points the Brits 6pts so far see below.

My ace did not do good, he was busy staying alive, his wing man ran out of ammo on his second burst and he ran out of cannon ammo after his second burst of fire, he did manage to take down one spits. Even though he was all alone on the west side of table with 6 spits hunting him

Jens ace rolled bad to start so began at level 2 while every one else was 8+ so it took him some time to get up to the fight, by which time his pilot had gone through a couple of six packs of beer, after shooting down one enemy he kind of flew around.

Marcus took down two spits. Daniel did a great job on getting out of a tight situation at the begining with 4 x 109s headed for him and two more appearing out of nowhere on his tail, he managed to get across the table to Jens and Michaels spits. After a while it turned into a battle of attrition with one and one planes leaving the table. We will have to roll for those next week as there is a pilot check to see if they make it back or are damaged or downed. I left with my out of ammo wing man he exited on a freindly board edge, so did one other Emil, Marcus left the table with a damaged Emil off an enemy board edge, two spits left off friendly board edges. The roll is modified for training of the pilot and damage to the plane so the final total will not be tallyed until we roll for these exiting planes.
